In terminals with late cargo cut-off times, containers sometimes arrive in the yard after you start planning the load. To find out how many of the containers on the load list have already arrived in the yard, you can create a filter and compare the total containers that were found to the number of containers on the load list.
To review the yard positions of those containers, you can apply this filter to a satellite view (on page 1) or block stowage view. The XPS client refreshes the view, displaying containers that match the filter in color. All other containers are grayed out.
For more information about creating and using filters, see the manual Navis N4: Basics.
To filter the yard for a vessel's export containers:
From the Container menu, select Filter.
In the Container Find Filter Edit dialog box, provide the following information:
From the Outbound Carrier list, select the name of the departing vessel.
From the Current Location list, select Y (Yard).
Leave all other values as they are.
In the Filter Name field, enter a name for the filter, for example Yard to Open Vessel.
Click Save.
Click Recap or List to run the filter.
Compare the total of matching containers in the yard to the load list (on page 1).
